Evan and Amanda are the poster couple for the saying “they are perfect for each other”. They share so many of the same interests and hobbies. It was their interest in some of the same hobbies that brought them together in the first place. After first meeting in college, they met again years later at a softball game and as they say, the rest is history. Their love for the outdoors even set the stage for Evan’s proposal to Amanda. After walking around the trails at Fox Ridge State Park and reminiscing about past turkey hunts, Evan proposed to Amanda in the outdoor setting that they love so much. We were able to see a glimpse into their exciting relationship on their engagement shoot at the beautiful Morton’s Grove Wedding Venue. We all had fun on their shoot, incorporating just some of the hobbies that they enjoy together. It was a downright chilly November day out in the country but that cold weather did not dampen Evan and Amanda’s affection for each other.
We were super excited when Evan surprised us by bringing out their shot guns for the shoot. It was easy to see that they both have skills when it comes to shooting guns and hunting. It was so much fun seeing them work and laugh together as they launched and shot the clay pigeons. If you get the chance, be sure and ask Amanda who shot the most pigeons that day.
We have no doubt that they will have a long and happy future together playing with their dogs, grilling up some food, going hunting, and playing softball together. We love seeing couples that love each other and get to have so much fun together because they share many of the same interests. We are super excited for their wedding day and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the two of them!!
These pictures above show Evan & Amanda really showing some skill not only in shooting these clay pigeons out of the sky, but also launching them way out into the open field. We were really impressed with how skilled they were with their sport.
But not all pigeons fly the way you want them too.
We have to say, this was one of the funnier times we had during their shoot. As you can see, these pigeons decided to fly right over Evans head and into the adjasent trees. They truly have so much fun together and have no problem laughing at themselves and laughing together.
This was also one of our most exciting engagement sessions for another reason. Evan and Amanda allowed us to shoot some clay pigeons as well!! Audrey had never fired a shotgun before this day. After they gave her some pointers and let her take a practice shot, it was time for the actual shot. Audrey braced herself and aimed down the barrel of the gun ready to point and shoot as soon as she locked aim on the target. (This was her helpful, confident description of the event afterwards) Evan tossed it out into the air and Audrey blew it away with a perfect shot!! She was more shocked and more excited than rest of us!! It was one of the most exciting sessions we have been on so far. Audrey is hooked now, and is eagerly anticipating the next time we get to go shoot some clay pigeons.
